Leucorrhea
It is described as any white or yellowish-white discharge from the vagina, strictly excluding the presence of blood.
The term leucorrhea should be restricted to those patients in whom the normal vaginal secretion is increased in amount, and the discharge is macroscopically and microscopically non - purulent.
An increase in the normal vaginal secretion develops physiologically at puberty, during pregnancy, at ovulation and in some women, during the premenstrual phase of the menstrual cycle.
Non pathogenic leucorrhea therefore can be classified into cervical and vaginal secretions.
1. Excessive cervical secretions - mucous discharges from the glands in the cervix, increases in such conditions as chronic cervicitis, cervical erosion, mucous polypi etc.
2. Excessive vaginal secretions - this form of leucorrhea is seen when the discharge originates in the vagina itself as a transudation through the vaginal walls. Local congestive states of the pelvic organs such as pregnancy, acquired retroversion , and prolapsed congested ovaries, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease are all reasonable causes of an increased vaginal secretions.

Chief Remedies:
Alumina: acrid, transparent, ropy; running down to heel; worse during day and better by cold applications.
Borax: like white of an egg with sensation as if hot water was flowing.
Calcarea Carbonica: milky discharge with itching and burning; worse immediately before menses.
Graphites: thin watery discharge; gushes day and night; weakness of small of back when walking or sitting.
Kreosotum: yellow, putrid, corrosive, offensive; stains linen yellow; worse between periods; when standing.
Pulsatilla: thick; whitish, yellowish, cream like, bland discharge; immediately before, during and after menses.
Other Remedies:
Bio-Combination#13: This remedy is indicated in all forms of leucorrhoea during puberty, pregnancy and in the climacteric. There is great weakness in young girls with or without functional neurosis.
